WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
We will visit the historical center of the city of Tarragona. The Romans gave the name Tarraco to this military settlement that became the Iberian capital of the empire.
Once we have crossed the wall, we will locate the monuments of imperial Tarragona on a map. The cathedral is where the Temple of Augustus was located. The historical district occupies the provincial Forum, and the Circus Romana starts from the maritime area to the town hall. The best location is undoubtedly that of the amphitheater with the sea in the background.
As an option we propose visits to the Cathedral and the Roman Circus to complete this walk through HISTORY.
To make the experience unforgettable, a happy ending with gastronomy of the province is required: a tasting of tapas and wines or vermouth (optional).
