WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?
We have to cross the Ebro to reach our destination, Miravet. We will do it through the PAS DE LA BARCA, being a crossing system that has been kept alive since the time of the Muslim occupation more than 1000 years ago.
Miravet is a jewel nestled on the banks of the river. We will walk up the steep streets of the village passing by the church towards the Castle of the Knights Templar. There the visit of the enclosure will take us in remembering epic novels.
Before returning we stopped at an exhibition of pottery, a typical handicraft of the area.
If you have chosen the wine tasting option, we continue along a beautiful road to reach Pinell de Brai (10km) which is home to the most beautiful modernist work of agricultural Catalonia: The Cathedral of wine is a marvel created by the architect Cesar Martínell, a disciple of Gaudí. You will be surprised by this combination of aesthetics and technology from the beginning of the 20th century. A wine and oil tasting for those who love tasting as the icing on the cake of our excursion.
